Tor Webster, a local Glastonbury man created the company 'Tor's Tour of the Tor' in 2012 and it has gone from strength to strength, as has his involvement in putting Glastonbury firmly on the tourist map of England. In those three years, he has been interviewed by BBC TV, BBC Radio, Russian TV, Japanese TV, Norwegian and local documentary productions, as well as being featured in German National Geographic Magazine and The World National Geographic TV Channel.
Tor moved to Glastonbury in 2001. His father and Danish mother (hence having the very apt name from birth of Tor) had already been living there for a few years. Tor has been a dedicated member of the Glastonbury Council Committee 'Promoting Glastonbury Forum,' and had the opportunity of giving some of the town councillors a taste of his tours which the thoroughly enjoyed. Some how Tor's tour of the Tor has also become top of the list of Glastonbury Tourist Attractions on the famous Trip Advisor website, above the Tor, the Abbey, The Chalice well etc. I guess with in his experience you get it all. Tor looks forward to showing and inspiring 100's of more visitors to Glastonbury over the coming years.
Tor is an independent filmmaker. In 2009, he completed a feature length documentary called the ‘Rainbow Serpent Project,’ which is about his pilgrimage to the earth chakra sites spread across the world (see www.rainbowserpent.co.uk).
Tor is a founder member of the Arimathean Group and has been working with the teachings of Joseph of Arimathea, Mary Magdalene and Yesuha for 20 years (there fore his interest in King Arthur Pendragon.) Here Tor has developed skills in facilitating visualizations, Healing and Channelling. See Services.
Tor personally knows many of the characters in Glastonbury, amongst others Sig Lonegren, the visionary of the tribunal labyrinth; the late John Michell, author of ‘View of Atlantis’; Nicholas Mann, author of many books about Glastonbury; Paul Broadhurst, co-author of ‘The Sun and The Serpent’; John Martino, publisher at Little Wooden Books; Rollo, the arch druid of Glastonbury and many other amazing folk including musicians, poets and great minds.
Tor considers himself a ‘Glastronaut’, a title he created, not feeling he fitted as a Glastafarian, Glastodian or Glastocracy.
