Hugh Newman

Megalithomaniac

Hugh Newman is a world explorer, megalithomaniac and author of Earth Grids: The Secret Pattern of Gaia’s Sacred Sites (2008); co-author of Giants On Record: America’s Hidden History, Secrets in the Mounds and the Smithsonian Files with Jim Vieira (2015), Stone Circles (2017), and contributed to Megalith: Studies In Stone (2018).

The Giants of Stonehenge and Ancient Britain

Hugh Newman explores how technically advanced giants with supernatural powers from a 'lost land' founded ancient Britain. Hugh will share his research on ancient texts, archaic traditions, DNA research and prehistoric lore that gives an alternative view of the founding of Albion (ancient Britain) and how Glastonbury fits into it. The earliest British giants were a culture of high kings with supernatural powers, astronomical knowledge and geomantic skills, ruling from cyclopean mountaintop forts. Their secret traditions and esoteric knowledge were maintained for over 10,000 years in elite groups with accounts saying that were survivors from a lost, sunken realm, with further connections to the Bible Lands and even Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. Many megalithic and ancient sites were said to be built by these giants incorporating their advanced skills, and hundreds of skeletons have been unearthed at them, with over 250 giant discoveries reported across the British Isles. In this lecture Hugh will focus on Glastonbury and the West Country revealing a remarkable burials in the Abbey from the 12th century, huge artefacts and weapons, gigantic teeth, bones and skulls from the surrounding area and a ruling tribe called the ‘Cangi’ who were based on the Mendip Hills and were said to be the original builders of Stonehenge. ‘The Giants of Stonehenge and Ancient Britain’ by Hugh Newman and Jim Vieira. www.megalithomania.co.uk/giantsofbritain.html

William Bloom

Spiritual companions Trust

William Bloom is a modern western mystic and considered by many to be Britain’s leading and most experienced mind-body-spirit teacher. The heart of his modernising approach and inspiring courses is to help people discover their own best way to connect with the wonder and energy of life, and then support them in developing a regular spiritual practice.

Dragons of Heaven and Earth

In this presentation William will explore the notion that dragons are a universal metaphor for flows of natural electricity. These movements of energy can be found in the stars, in the earth and in the human body.

But they are more than just quasi-scientific flows of prana and qi. These energies also have an elemental life and are beings in their own right. Some are tiny and some are enormous with great power.

William has been experiencing and observing  this dimension for decades, and will share his perspective here. It will, he hopes, deepen your own experience of nature, metaphysics and the interdependence of all life.

"William Bloom is a modern western mystic and considered by many to be Britain’s leading and most experienced mind-body-spirit teacher." Yoga Magazine

His many publications and books include 'Working with Angels and Nature Spirits', 'Ley Lines and Ecology', 'The Sacred Magician', 'Psychic Protection' and 'The Power of Modern Spirituality.'

He has a doctorate from the London School of Economics and his background includes a 2-year off-grid retreat in the High Atlas Mountains of southern Morocco.

Peter Knight & Sue Wallace

Stone Seekers

Peter, Living in Wiltshire, with his partner Sue, and close to the magical landscape of Avebury, Peter is well known in the South for his entertaining and enthusiastic workshops, convention lectures and field trips.

Sue has been the co-facilitator on Stone Seeker tours for many years. She brings along a lifetime of experience of self-searching, dowsing, drumming, and chanting. She has a deep relationship with the Earth and its sacred places, often connecting intuitively with trees and elementals, frequently through chant and song.

Albion Dreamtime - Questing to Britain's magical, natural sacred places

Based on their book of the same name, Pagan authors Sue and Peter share their Questing to Albion’s magical, natural sacred places. Across England, Wales and Scotland they followed the Songlines, as they chanted, drummed, dowsed and meditated, to re-enchant these numinous places, which included waterfalls, ancient forests, dark caves and rock outcrops. It was to such Dreamtime places that early hunter-gatherers and shamans came to contact the Earth Spirit. Sue and Peter look at Albion’s myths and how people were once deeply connected to Nature, and how Mankind has over-complicated spirituality since the Mesolithic. They make a passionate plea to visit ancient natural places; their message is a timely rallying cry at this pivotal time of climate change. The talk has stunning images and includes live drumming and videos.

The Divine Feminine and the Spirits of the Land

From a Celtic, Druidic, perspective - focusing upon the River Brue, from its source at the Great Forest, as it flows through Glastonbury, and out to the Sabrina Sea (Bristol Channel). This will explain aspects of star-lore, sacred landscape, and touch upon the mythology of Celtic deities like Gwyn ap Nudd, Brigid, Elen, Rosmerta, and Nemetona.

Jamie Arthur Pickup

Researcher and Decoder

"I am a researcher and decoder of esoteric symbolism and numerology. I have worked tirelessly for the last 3 years travelling around Britain trying to crack what appears to be a universal coding left behind in Leonardo da Vinci’s research. A creator's code that is directly connected to the divine source, the Monad. Leonardo da Vinci’s research has led me all around Britain to places such as Orkney, Shetland, Dublin and the Isle of Mann, Ynys Mon, the Isle of Anglesey, both known as the Isle of Mona. Leonardo’s research led me to some of the most sacred locations Britain has to offer, as well as an awful lot of mountains. Eventually the coding that I followed brought me to Glastonbury, the Tor and the Red Spring, as well as other locations such as Wells Cathedral and it has helped me reveal a piece of coding that is simply incredible, a piece of coding that I can’t wait to share with others. "

Myths and mysteries that surround Glastonbury Tor

Jamie will be speaking about the myths and mysteries that surround Glastonbury Tor, the gateway to the other world and the theories that the Tor was once part of an ancient pyramid system. Jamie will detail and reveal a piece of coding that will shed light on direct correlations between Glastonbury Tor and the Great Pyramid of Giza. Jamie will also be revealing a piece of coding that is hidden in plain sight at Wells Cathedral, the pyramid code and the hidden symbolism of the scissor arch. Jamie will also be sharing his research on the HEX code for divine light, Christos, the Vesica Piscis and the Holy Grail. By the time Jamie is finished speaking, it should all become “Crystal clear”.

Jon Cousins

Mayor of Glastonbury

Four times Mayor of Glastonbury, Jon Cousins is a published author, film maker, and composer. His respected works on the history of the town are known as the ‘Glastonbury Documents’ – which includes the influential ‘Remember Richard Whiting’.

Although he has appeared in several programmes and documentaries about Glastonbury over the years – and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the myths, legends, and characters that populate both the town’s past and present – this is the first time Jon has agreed to be a speaker at any conference in the town.

“Whose Bones Are These?”

In 1191, a grave of a man and woman was exhumed in the Monk’s Cemetery to the south of the site of Glastonbury’s ancient ‘Wattle and Daub’ Church. The burial was marked with a ‘leaden cross’; the inscription ‘HIC IACET SEPULTUS INCLITUS REX ARTURIUS IN INSULA AVALONIA’ – ‘Here lies buried the renowned King Arthur in the Isle of Avalon’. Sixteen feet down, Glastonbury’s monks found a coffin, made from the hollowed-out trunk of an oak tree. Inside were the bodies of a man and a woman. Identified at the time as King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, the remains were placed in ‘reliquaries’ and stored in the Abbey’s treasury. The reliquaries were opened during Easter 1278 in the presence of King Edward I and his Queen, Eleanor. The Royal couple wrapped the bones in costly silks and placed them in a newly created black marble tomb in front of Glastonbury’s high altar – the skulls placed on top “for the veneration of the people”. There, the relics remained until the dissolution of the Abbey in 1539. What happened to them later is unrecorded. Dr. Ralegh Radford, the archæologist who – during excavations in 1962 – confirmed the existence of the 1191 burial site, states that the black marble tomb “was destroyed at the Reformation and the bones dispersed”…

Discussing the burial in ‘New Light On The Ancient Mystery Of Glastonbury’, John Michell relates: “The question of whose bones they actually were is still bitterly disputed, and Glastonbury friendships are still endangered by the controversy.”

In his talk, Jon will consider the identity of the man and the woman buried at Glastonbury – and reflect on the question: “whose bones are these?”

Grail – The Glastonbury Mysteries and The Poetic Vision

John Constable aka John Crow delves into his latest esoteric work, Grail, to explore how this living agency of transformation can manifest in our inner and outer worlds. This talk / performance traces its origins in the Celtic Cauldron of Inspiration infused with medieval Christian mysticism. John deconstructs the text most closely identified with Glastonbury, the problematic High History of The Holy Grail. He highlights the power of the Poetic Vision to transform the physical world, and the perils of literalism, of seeking to define or explain The Grail within a single paradigm whereby ‘the key to The Mysteries becomes the lock, the block’. Together we approach the enigmatic question to be asked at the serving of The Grail: ‘Whom does it serve?’ The answer cannot be framed by analytical reason. John will perform several of his magical spells and invocations which seek to point beyond meaning to the ineffable, infinite interconnected consciousness of Being Itself.

Lady Artio & Sir Pen Dragon

In February 2020, I was asked to do an evening of visualisations at a healing centre near Boston, USA. I didn’t know that the inspired visualisation I channelled that night was a download that would forever change my life!

I channelled a scene where a group of Irish ‘Brigantia’, ladies later known as followers of st Bridget, had travelled to Glastonbury to join a ceremony with Druidic leaders from Anglesey, Wales, known as ‘The Pen Dragons’.

They were to sign a peace treaty drawn up by the ‘God King’ from south Denmark, Offa of Angel. His ancestors were said to go back to Oden himself. He had brought back the Nordic / Celtic traditions from the North, an area not destroyed by the Roman Empire. To help Britain, which had lost its tradition, he was to bring peace and order back to the country. He drew up a peace treaty to unite Ireland, Wales and the land which was to be named after Offa of Angel, England, land of Angel.

That peace treaty was called Artio (Bear goddess) in honour of the Brigantias who Offa reconnected to the Bear and Pen Dragons, the head ‘Pen’, Druids ‘dragon ley line workers’. After Offa and his family were known as ‘Artio Pendragon’, his selfless offering and help to rebuild Britain still inspires countless stories.

Palden Jenkins

Retired author, photographer, webmaster, historian and humanitarian

A beat-up old new age fogey with cancer, I've been re-examining everything and seeing things in a different way. The last person you ought to ask about legends, I want instead to share with you something about the consciousness-fields in which legends are rooted and made. This is what I've come to, having been involved in geomancy, astrology, cereology, ETs, psychic work, geopolitics, history and a few other things, all my adult life. Some of you will know me as the founder of the camps movement, the author of 'The Only Planet of Choice', a humanitarian in Palestine, the former webmaster of the Isle of Avalon website (1996-2006), or as a blogger and podcaster.

Consciousness work and the way it can affect our reality

My talk will be focusing on consciousness work and the way it can affect our reality. I'll be going back to our roots, in the neolithic and beyond, to the early inner imaginal work that gave root to the core stuff of our culture, to our beliefs and ways of perceiving things. Using my home area, West Penwith in Cornwall, as an example, I'll show how ancient sites were built for consciousness work in order to penetrate and engineer the heart of reality - amongst other things affecting the climate, the ecosystem and human society. Which happen to be issues that are a wee bit important today. Forty years ago, the Assembly Rooms hosted some very early experiments in 'working the circle' - something that is now accepted and common - and Glastonbury is a place with deep historic and esoteric roots too. So the heart of my talk is about consciousness work in the imaginal sphere, how this might be used in jogging the prevailing reality-field of our world, and how it all started several millennia ago.

Mano Mannaz

Mystic

Mano Mannaz is a writer, poet and artist who has lived in Glastonbury since 1993. For the last 15 years she has been researching the Glastonbury Grail legends in connection with the recorded history of the Abbey and some finds made in local Archaeology. This exploration has revealed some interesting connections between the local Grail Legends, the Druid Earth Mysteries and the teachings of early Celtic Christianity.

THE GRAIL OF GLASTON'S GLORY

The Crypt in the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey became the focus of the mysterious Cult of Joseph of Arimathea, the Tin Merchant and the Uncle of Jesus who was said to have brought the Holy Grail to Avalon. Could it be that this Legend can help us work more consciously, in the NOW, with the spiritual potential of the Earth Dragon/Michael and Mary Ley Lines that flow naturally through this sacred landscape?

Diana Dingles Greenfield

Minister

Revd Diana Greenfield has been serving as Avalon Pioneer Minister in Street and Glastonbury for 13 years. She is currently studying a DTh through Roehampton University seeking to develop better conversations between neo-Pagans and Christians through storytelling. She is exploring how the stories of the Goddess Bride and St Brigid have become a good meeting place for shared conversation.

Learning from Brigid the Goddess and the Saint

Diana will be exploring some of the many stories attributed to Brigid, both as a goddess and a saint. Considering the significance of Bride’s Mound in Glastonbury, the Bride shrine at the White Spring and the stained glass window in St Johns Church. What aspect of her character can be understood from each of these places and how the myths and legends speak of our own faiths to us today
